NICE Recommendation

The PPH procedure was recommended in September 2007 by NICE, the UK National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence. NICE reviewed the PPH procedure, also known as Stapled Haemorrhoidopexy, and decided that it offered specific advantages over the open haemorrhoidectomy technique.

We work alongside Beating Bowel Cancer to help patients gain early diagnosis. The PPH helpline is available from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. It is staffed by a team of trained nurses who are happy to speak with both patients and healthcare professionals. We do not diagnose over the phone, but we can offer information, support, and help patients to have the confidence to come forward for treatment.
