PPH - a minimally invasive procedure

PPH is appropriate for Grade 3 and Grade 4 haemorrhoids.

It is usually performed under general anaesthetic. However, PPH creates no wounds as it uses a unique stapling technique to pull the haemorrhoids back up into their normal anatomical position. Because this is a minimally invasive procedure, the vast majority of the 3,000 patients in the UK who have undergone this procedure report little post operative pain and are able to resume normal activities within a few days of leaving hospital.
